Notes on Marcel Duchamp
“A precursor of what was to be called the Dada movement, and ultimately its leading member, was Marcel Duchamp, who in 1913 created his first ready-made (now lost), the “Bicycle Wheel,” consisting of a wheel mounted on the seat of a stool.” (Web Museum, Paris)
Marcel Duchamp Wikipedia Page is good place to start if you know nothing about Duchamp, but want to know something. He is an amazing visual, and conceptual artist, working in the 1910s and 20s, and is often associated with “Dada.”
Making Sense of Duchamp – a really nice “flash” interractive page on Duchamp’s work.
“The Marcel Duchamp World Community Web Site offers a neutral, unbiased, internet location for the meeting and exchange of ideas among the international community of people interested in Marcel Duchamp studies.”
For a really good gallery of Duchamp’s work from the early-years to the later-works see Olga’s Duchamp Gallery.

Rick Jensen is one of my favourite photographers. This is one photo from a series titled “Black Light.” This series of photos, in my humble opinion is truly breath-taking. They can be seen here at the Rick Jensen Slide Gallery. Rick is an accomplished photographer who has been exhibiting for many years now. To see more of his work, and selections from his recent exhibitions in London, visit Rick Jensen My Space Gallery.
Rick is also a free-jazz saxophonist, who leads his own trio which can be heard at the Rick Jensen Trio.
